Frequently Asked Questions. Please contact us if you
have a question not listed here.
How many hours do I have to
commit to applying to college?
This depends on how many colleges you
are applying to. A general rule of thumb is 5-10 hours
for every college application.
Can my TOEFL score be used
instead of my SAT score? In most cases no.
The SAT measures mathematical and verbal aptitude, while the
TOEFL measures basic English language proficiency.
Can you help me if I want to contest a college rejection?
YES! At this time we have a 100% success rate at reversing
an admission’s decision that we have believed was unfairly
made. Our references are happy to tell you about their
experience with us.
Is there evidence that shows
college test preparation courses improve scores?
Yes. Our students on average improve their scores
by a range of 50-200 points. Score increases are a
direct function of class attendance and home study.
How will I know that I am
improving in your course? Each student is
evaluated based on attendance and practice exam results.
If I decide to retake the
test can Global Educational Assistance give me additional
help? YES! You are entitled to
additional help up to six months from the time that you
enroll with us
Do you
teach the TOEFL or SAT in any other language besides
English? No. These two tests are administered
in English. It would be to the student's disadvantage
to teach the test in any other language.
Can I take the practice test
home to study? No. These tests can only be
taken at the location of the lectures and tutorials.
These exams are proprietary.
Can I be tutored at home for the SAT and TOEFL?
Yes, however the cost will be double the retail
cost.
Do I have to meet with you in
person to get help?
Thanks to the world wide web we can help you just where
you are. If we can not, we will help you find someone
who can help you.
